Eligibility

In its main grants program, Yoga Dana Foundation supports organizations that:

    • Provide yoga to groups of people who would otherwise not have access to yoga

    • Are charitable in purpose

    • Are an established 501(c)(3), or are fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3)

    • Have a broad purpose and impact (projects have the potential to be modeled/replicated)

    • Have direct impact (bring yoga directly to targeted community)

    • Are located and carry out projects in one of the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area

    • Are sustainable (have other sources of funding and are financially stable)

    • Are effective (have a history of excellence and credibility in the field

In its seed grants program, Yoga Dana Foundation sets aside a percentage of funding to provide small grants to groups that comply with the values of the Foundation and meet the first six, and have potential to meet the last two, criteria described above.
